FRAGRANCE ADVERTISING ANALYSIS REPORT
THE BRIEF:
Deconstruct and visually analyse Marc Jacobs ‘Daisy’ and Gucci ‘ Flora’, using cultural and theory-based links to build a visual story alongside understanding how image and visual signifiers are used by brands.
OUTCOME:
I explored the theme of Femininity within the adverts and how it influences young women and affects the audience’s perception of femininity, supported by Van Zoonens Feminist discourse theory.
This creative report was inspired by 'ABoDE Magazine', a digital zine created by Lewi Yonas. Using ‘ABoDE’ as inspiration allowed me to broaden my lens on fashion photography, editorial content and juxtapose the seriousness of the report with the fun colour palette and visuals.
